A Crème Dinner Party ~ Cupid's Edition
Cupid, cupid! My second Crème Dinner Party went off without a hitch! 14 dinner guests, 4 courses, and 3 themed cocktails...I was so delighted everyone left happy and full.
THE MENU
Cupid's Cocktail Station
Baked Goat Cheese and Mascarpone with Salsa Rossa
Grilled "Hearts" of Romaine
Creamy Pasta Alfredo with Crispy Chicken Cutlets
Gooey Chocolate & Peanut Butter Bake
As my guests arrived, Adrian and I mixed up Cupid's Cocktails: "Frisky" Fruity Shooter, "Kinky" Cocktail, and "Mischievous" Martini. I love to garnish the "Kinky" Cocktail with cotton candy and the "Mischievous" Martini with conversation hearts.
First, I served the Baked Goat Cheese and Mascarpone with Salsa Rossa. Salsa Rossa is a classic tomato sauce. Toasted bread points are the perfect accessory to this hot, bubbling dish.
For the salad, I wanted to do something unique! I came up with this Grilled "Hearts" of Romaine salad. I paired it with a homemade vinaigrette with hints of lemon, dijon, and garlic. Sprinkle with freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and toasted pine nuts.
As I prepared the entree, Creamy Pasta Alfredo with Chicken Cutlets, my guests kept busy chatting amongst themselves and sampling the various cocktails.
The chicken is prepared for sautéing in two simple steps. I like to do as the Italians do and serve my pasta tossed in the sauce.
Want to know the trick to a decadent dessert? Water bath! Before putting these chocolate dishes in the oven, I set them in a deep pan with hot water. The result is delicious! Drizzle with warm peanut butter and voila!
Thank you so much to everyone who made this night so special! I hope that you are able to recreate these recipes at home for your loved ones. Cheers! XOXO Paula
