Thanksgiving Made Simple
It was a beautiful day for a workshop at Crème de la Crème. So many of you have asked for Thanksgiving recipes and tips...and I wanted to deliver! Thanksgiving is a holiday that can get a little overwhelming so I wanted to share my favorite make ahead and turkey leftover recipes.
First, we started with my Simple Cranberry Sauce, Cheesy Spinach Gratin, Crockpot Mashed Potatoes, Buttery Brioche Stuffing, and Turkey Gravy. No big deal.
While my sides were baking, I showed students a few of my favorite ways to set the table for Thanksgiving. The turkey leg is actually filled with popcorn. I love giving the kids a little snack to keep them happy.
Bon appetit! As students were eating, I started on the turkey leftover recipes. I like to cut my turkey in half in roast both sides face down.
Each student had a chance to write something they were thankful for on a leaf and tie it on a branch. I loved reading all the messages! I am most thankful for my students.
We snacked on our final recipes: Easy & Quick Turkey Quesadilla and Mile High Turkey Sandwich.
Thank you for spending your HUSKER Saturday with me! Don't forget your turkey! Cheers! XOXO Paula
