Polite Dinner Conversation

And just like that...my November public classes are finished!  It's been a wonderful month of Frank Sinatra, pan fried cheese, and Affogato.  Luckily, I have a few more private groups scheduled for the "Cozy Italian" menu so we aren't saying goodbye to the rosemary yet.

But, it's not the time to mourn.  We celebrated another Crème Club student!!  Tammy has been attending since the spring and it has been such a JOY to have her in my kitchen.  Congratulations girl!

The quick and easy Rosemary Focaccia bread just hits. the. spot!  I love that in 20 minutes or less, my students have a warm bread to snack on.

Time to simmer that sauce!  I get my dueling pots fixed up with all the goodies and let it simmer.

Remember: Red sauce, noodle, white sauce, cheese...and repeat!  I sing it to myself to keep the individual lasagnas layered beautifully.

Is there anything better than fried cheese?  I mean, c'mon.  This Pan Fried Provolone Salad has a homemade vinaigrette, candied tomatoes, and fried cheese.

If you are anything like me and can't wait the recommended 30 minutes to tear into a baked lasagna, then bake lasagna in individual dishes!  Eat at your own risk -- these puppies are HOT but so satisfying.

Several of my students had to do a google search on my dessert for the evening.  Affogato is an Italian dessert. Traditionally, espresso is served over gelato.  I added my own toppings like toasted almonds -- some of my students even substituted hot chocolate for a yummy, caffeine-free version.

Thank you for spending your Tuesday evening with me!  It's always a pleasure having you in my kitchen.  Cheers! XOXO Paula
