In this post, I’ll be featuring my Simple Barbecue Chicken Drumsticks recipe and will give you a sneak peak for The Firecracker Fourth Poke Cake, which you’ll see in our upcoming video this Wednesday!
Enjoy!

Simple Barbecue Chicken Drumsticks
Ingredients
A dozen Chicken drumsticks
3 qts. Water
Small handful Fresh thyme
1/4 cup Salt
1/4 cup Dark brown sugar
4 Garlic cloves, smashed
Your favorite Barbecue Sauce

Pour your water in a large stockpot, and add the thyme, salt, dark brown sugar, and garlic cloves. Give a couple stirs, and let the sugar and salt dissolve. Add the drumsticks into the brine and keep covered in the fridge for a minimum of two hours, stirring occasionally. Once ready to grill, take drumsticks out of the brine, pat dry with paper towels, and place onto a hot grill, cooking over medium-low heat or medium-high indirect heat. Indirect heat is good for minimizing flare-ups. Once the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F, take off the grill and plate. Lather with your favorite barbecue sauce. Serve immediately.
Enjoy!
