Sweet and Savory Prosciutto Crostini
Good evening, you guys!
Want an easy game day appetizer?? This is it. Whether you are hosting a fancy dinner or sitting on the sofa cheering on your favorite team, this quick and easy appetizer will be a total hit. But... be forewarned... they may be addictive. You can’t just have one. You may have three. Or like me, perhaps 5 will do the trick. Yeah... I said it. I did it.
Want the recipe? Okay, I’ll share. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Eat up!
xoxo,
Paula
Sweet and Savory Prosciutto Crostini
Ingredients:
1 loaf French or Italian bread, sliced in 1/2 in. on the diagonal
Olive oil , to brush
Salt and pepper, to season
Prosciutto slices, sliced in half
Sharp cheddar cheese, in bite-size slices
Fig preserves
Lay out bread slices on a baking sheet. Lightly brush each piece with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Put under your broiler until nicely dark brown, then take out to cool.
Once cooled, spread a layer of fig jam atop each piece of crostini. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the jam, then drape your prosciutto over the top. Make a lot. I’m not kidding. Enjoy!!
