Creamy Sausage Gravy Breakfast Roti
Ingredients:
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
1/2 tsp. Onion powder
1/4 tsp. Paprika
2 tsp. Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 lb. Breakfast sausage
1/2 cup Flour
3 1/2 cups warmed Milk
1/4 cup Cream
Frozen Roti
Butter, for frying
Eggs
Salt and pepper, to season
In a medium pot, fry the pork sausage, breaking apart to desired consistency, until dark golden brown. Stir in the flour and cook for a couple minutes. Stir in the milk until fully incorporated, and the gravy should start to thicken. Mix in the seasoning mixture, then add the cream. Turn to low and simmer until ready to assemble.
In a frying pan, fry each side of your roti until golden brown. Set aside. Melt a tsp. of Butter or so for each egg. Crack in your desired amount of eggs, season with salt and pepper. Fry, covered, to desired yolk consistency, or at least until the whites of the egg have turned opaque.
To assemble, pour sausage gravy over one half of your roti. Fold in half and top with your fried egg. Cut, serve, and enjoy!
